HOW TO MAKE LEADERS
In January, I decided to try to find a chapter of Leads Club to
join to help me find qualified prospects for my business. Unfortunately,
I thought at the time, I was unable to find a chapter with a vacancy
in the life insurance industry. I was faced with starting my own
chapter.
I started by recruiting two other potential members, a property
and casualty insurance sales person and an attorney to help me in
the organization and recruiting. For the next two months, I “interviewed”
potential candidates for membership. This resulted in my developing
a referral list of over 100 people in varied professions. In April,
I had my first meeting with 16 new members of my chapter. By July,
my chapter had grown to 26 members.
The referrals I received from my chapter of Leads Club helped me
qualify for Leader my first year in the insurance industry. In nine
months, these referrals produced 24 sales and over $27,000 in first
year commissions. Annualized, that is $36,000 in new business.
Anyone starting the insurance industry should set as their very
first priority getting involved in a Leads Club chapter. A national
organization, Ali Lassen’s Leads Club, has over 300 chapters nationwide
and is available to help you find a chapter or start one of your
own. They can be reached at 800-783-3761.
